The Windows update device driver wizard will

be displayed; click Next.

Reinstalling the Device Driver — Windows 98 Second Edition (SE)

If “Nikon 1394 Protocol Device” is listed Other Devices, reinstall the device driver as described

below.

Step 1

Click the My Computer icon on the desktop

with the right mouse button and select Prop-

erties from the menu that appears. The Sys-

tem Properties dialog will be displayed; click

the Device Manager tab.

Step 2

The Device Manager sheet will be displayed.

Double-click the listing for the Nikon

(or

D1 or D1

)

that appears under “Other Devices”

or “Miscellaneous Devices.”

Step 3

The NIKON D1X (or D1 or D1H) Properties dia-

log will be displayed. Open the General tab

and click Reinstall Driver.
